Mominpura well-known as the Chandni Chowk of Nagpur is situated near the Nagpur railway station. The area is occupied with numerous mosque and the biggest among them is the Jama Masjid. During the Month of Ramadan there held a big Market of Cloth, footwear, ornaments etc. People from all over Nagpur come here for shopping. The streets were full of crowds in Ramadan.

There are several hotels, small restaurants and eating joints in this area which opens through out the day. The institutions located in this area are Islamia High School and Junior college of Science run by Majlis Madarsa e Islamia.
