The octagonal-shaped government aquarium situated at the entrance of the Cubbon Park is the second largest of its kind in the country. Opened in 1983, it exhibits a large variety of indigenous and exotic cultivable fish as well as ornamental pet fish. The three storied building displays around 70 varieties of beautiful and unique fish with vibrant colours. It is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on all days except Mondays and second Tuesday of every month and general holidays.
