Ramgarh Lake

Ramgarh, an ancient site located 25 kms in the north-east of Jaipur, is famous for its huge artificial lake called Ramgarh Lake. The 4kms long and 2kms wide lake was created by constructing a high bund amidst the hills covered with trees. This peaceful picnic spot with beautiful landscape attracts tourists from far off places especially during monsoons, while the lake gets inundated with water.

Other attractions of Ramgarh are Jamwa Mata temple famed for its magnificent architecture, the ruins of an ancient fort belongs to Kachhawahas and the Polo grounds located between the Aravalli Hills and Ramgarh Lake. The Ramgarh lodge located nearby is a historic structure which houses a museum and a library. Now the lodge has been converted to a heritage hotel with high five facilities.
