Bal Bhavan within the Cubbon Park is an amusement park cum recreation centre with full of surprises for the children. The main attractions are the toy train and Vijayaranga theater which conducts film shows and theatre performances. The Doll's museum in the Jawahar Bal Bhavan has an exciting dolls and toys collection from all over the world. The mini park has a 20 million year old fossilized tree. One can enjoy horse rides here or take up craft and hobby classes for children which are conducted here. Bal Bhavan is open on all days, except Mondays and second Tuesdays of the month.
