Attractions Inside Race Village

A simulator that gives users the senstion of being at sea on a Volvo Open 70 Yacht in Extreme conditions.

The Dome - a cinematic representation of life on board during the Race

The Pool - which allows visitors to show their tractical skill on scale model Volvo Ocean Race boats during an In-Port Race.

The Grinding Challenge - a test of strength showing just how physically demanding the boats can be.

Ocean Race Trade Fest (2nd - 13th Dec 2008)

An exhibition of Indian industry, trade, services and products. A must-see attraction will be the ISRO exposition on India's space programme and the CHANDRAYAAN.

IMPORTANT

The Race Village will be open for public from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm every day.

Entry gate to the Race Village will be closed at 9.00 pm

Bags / Packets / Suitcases / Match Boxes / Cigrette Lilighters etc. are not allowed inside the Village.

The entire Race Village will be a NO SMOKING AREA .

Childrens below 15 years should be escorted.

Please park your vehicles in the allocated parking space only. Vehicles parcked anywhere else will be towed away at the owner's risk and cost.

Visitores are encouraged to take ferry boat services to and from Willingdon Island.

Additional boat / bus services will be avilable.
