How to get there

Udaipur, the major city in Rajasthan is well connected to all the major cities of the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Ahemdabad and Jaipur through land, rail and air. The distance of Udaipur from major cities are Ahmedabad - 262kms, Jodhpur - 275kms, Jaipur - 406, Mumbai - 739kms, Delhi - 670kms.

Air :

Maharana Pratap Airport (Airport code: UDR) more popularly known as Dabok airport is situated about 22kms east of Udaipur city. It is well linked to the major cities of India such as Jodhpur, Jaipur, Aurangabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Air Deccan operates regular flight services to and from the Dabok airport. The airport is equipped with all the amenities like prepaid taxi counter, handicraft emporium, tourist information centre, tea/coffee counter, ISD/ STD/ PCO and many others.

Udaipur city railway station, linked with all the neighbouring cities of Rajasthan and other major cities of India, is situated about 4 km east of Udaipur. The major trains passes through the station include Lake City Express, Chetak Express, Mewar Fast Passenger, Palace of Wheels etc. Even though Udaipur is not directly connected to South India, one could reach here via Kota or Ahmedabad. ‘Mewar Express’ connects the city to Delhi, Kota and Mathura while ‘Ananya Express’ connects Udaipur to Kolkata.

Road :
Udaipur city lies on the golden quadrilateral road network, is well connected with other cities through National Highway (NH 8). The city of Ahmedabad is 3.5 hours drive from Udaipur while Jaipur is 8 hours away. Rajasthan Roadways provides the facility of Deluxe Buses and AC coaches for the convenience of passengers. Private bus companies also operate in the region during night hours. The State Transport Bus Stand is on City Station Road, NH 8.

Auto rickshaws, tongas and taxis are available for local transportation.
