The 23kms long Ring Road is the most important landmark of Rourkela which connects the 19 sectors and some other parts of the steel city including the old Rourkela. As the name implies, the road is in the shape of a big ring, originates from the main gate of Rourkela Steel Plant via. Bania Gate. The major tourist destinations of Rourkela such as Ambagan Square, Indira Gandhi Park, Chhend Colony, Ispat market, Bisra Chowk etc. are located on the ring road.
