Bijasen Tekri

Located 9kms from the railway station and 2 minutes drive from the airport, Bijasen Tekri is an ideal picnic spot surrounded by gardens and a small lake. It offers a breathtaking view of the city and a magnificent view of the sunset. This tekri (hillock) has a temple dedicated to Bijasen Mata which was built in the year 1920. The fair, held here during the nine-day long Navratri festival, attracts large crowd. There were a guest house of the Holkars at the top of the hill which has been converted into Border Security Arms Museum.
