Pune International Marathon

Pune International Marathon, one of the popular events in Pune is organized by the Pune International Marathon Committee every year. This race on foot was first started in1983. The race is divided into different categories like Men's and women's full marathon category, Men's Half Marathon and Senior citizens' category. Local as well as national and international runners from countries like Paris, France and Italy participate in this event. Every year a celebrity run is organized and many famous sport persons and film stars participate in the race and collect money for charitable use. Large number of people gathered on both sides of the roads to encourage the participants. A mobile clinic is also set up here to give medical treatment to the participants.
