Cochin To Welcome 10,000 Foreign Tourists

Volvo Ocean Race brings to Cochin, an onshore tourism wind, which carries 10,000 foreign citizens.  As part of the Volvo Ocean Race organisedrs are expecting 10,000 tourists from abroad. They will come to Kerala by Cruise vessels and Flights. Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Mr. Cherian Philip and Port Trust Chairman Mr. N. Ramachandran jointly inspected the preparations. Race will transform Kochi as India’s Tourism gateway: said Mr. Cherian Philip. This is a boost to the upcoming Marina project. Hundrads of Yachts are expected to berth here in the coming years-he said.

Apart from foreign visitors Thousands of Tourists from other parts of the country is also expected to reach Cochin during the Stop over period. General Public will be allowed free entry in to the Race Village.
