| Initially known as the son of Rakesh Nath, secretary of leading Bollywood stars, Karan earned  recognition through his  debut film 'Pagalpan' (2001). The film flopped but Karan's performance was appreciated  and his looks and dancing abilities won the audience's attention. He also won  the Best newcomer award for the film. Belonging  to Hoshiarpur, Karan stepped into filmdom as a  child artist in Mr. India (1987). He has starred in films like 'Yeh Dil Hai  Aashiqana'  (2002),  J P Dutta's 'LoC Kargil' (2003), 'Sssshhh' (2003) etc. Apart  from the fact that he has played in negative roles, he has also been in the news for his  steamy scenes in the film 'Tum—a dangerous obsession' (2004) opposite  Manisha Koirala and Netanya   Singh. The handsome hunk with his well-toned physique was once a National Level   Tennis player.
