Built in memory of the fifth Sikh guru, Guru Arjan Sahib, Gurdwara Pipli
Sahib is situated in Putlighar area, about 1.5 km west of Amritsar railway
station. The name Gurdwara Pipli Sahib was derived from a big Pipal tree,
which once stood here. The Gurdwara, constructed in the early part of
20th century was reconstructed during the 1930's and it is linked by a
150 metre road to the main Sher Shah Suri Marg near Putlighar. The main
festival of this Gurudwar is held on the occasion of Basant Panchmi (January-February)
