Located at sector 8, about 5kms from the city center, in the middle of lush green gardens is the Jubilee Park. The park was established in the year 1987 on the Silver Jubilee celebration of Rourkela Steel Plant. Jubilee Park is a pleasant tourist spot to enjoy your leisure time. The park houses a musical fountain and for the children, there are various kinds of playing arrangements. 

Adjacent to the Jubilee park, there is a Deer Park (Mruga Vihar), inaugurated by Sri V.krishna Murty chairman of the SAIL on 18th February 1989. The park housed about 70 varieties of deer from various parts of the country. The timings of the deer park is 7am to 7pm from March to September and 7am to 6pm from October to February. The park remains closed on Mondays.
