Hanuman Vatika, located around 7kms from the city center,
is a beautiful garden temple devoted to Hanuman, the monkey devotee of
Lord Rama. Sprawl over an area of 13 acres of land, Hanuman Vatika contains
a 75-feet tall highly impressive standing statue of Hanuman, constructed
by Sri. Laxman Swami of Hyderabad. Set up by Hanuman Vatika Trust, the
vatika houses a beautiful temple complex with several shrines of Bata
Mangala Mandira, Binayaka Mandira, Santoshi Ma Mandira, Bruhat Sivalinga
Mandira, Ram Daravar, Hanumanji Mandira, Ma Laxmi Mandira, Jagannath Mandira
and Manas Parayana Sharala. Due to the presence of these shrines, this
calm tourist destination is more popular among the locals as a place of
pilgrimage.
Besides the temple complex, there is a large kalyan mandap in Hanuman
Vatika premises which is used for functions such as marriage, birthday
parties, Bratostaba, Ekoishia etc.
