Devoted to Lord Krishna, Sri Krishna Temple is located in the scenic village
of Thiruvarpu which is at a distance of 6kms from Kottayam. The rituals
at the temple rituals starts early in the morning at 3 o' clock and usha
payasam is the main offering. The annual temple festival is celebrated
for ten days in the month of April. The highlight of the festival is the
Vilakkeduppu i.e carrying lighted lamps by the virgin girls.
I and my wife want to visit the temple between 15/0711 and 20/07/11. would like to offer pujas. Request to guide for accomadations. I came to know recently that vechoor krishna temple is our KULA DEIVAM. My ancestors are from Haripad.
