Pallipurathukavu Devi Kshetram, situated in the south of Kottayam town, is devoted to Goddess Bhagavathy. Patham udaya mahotsavam also known as Kumbhakuta mahotsavam is the main festival held on 10th day of the Malayalam month Medam (May/June). Valiya Thiyattu and Garuda Thukkam, the main rituals performed during the festival, attracts large crowd.
