It is simply awesome that you have taken honours in Geography, and have a keen interest in pursuing GIS. As you are aware, after introducing Maps by Google, apart from traditional GIS domain, it now offers web based applications too, which ultimately improve the job prospects after obtaining relevant academic qualifications. You can enhance your career prospects by joining for any of the Masters in GIS related subjects, in India or abroad.
You may go through the M. Sc. Programme offered by School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Apart from this, Department of Science & Technology, of West Bengal State Council of Science and Technology, offers a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Geo-informatics course. Usually, the course commences on month of August, every new academic year; you can find updates at http://dstwb-council.gov.in/urls/rsgis_hrd_pgdi.html. You can prune the qualifications further by applying for M.Sc. In Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation with Specialisation in Geo-informatics at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing at Dehradun (http://www.iirs.gov.in).
