1 | Yes,you can do civil engineering with 58% marks, because the minimum marks for appearing in aieee is 50% and for state P.E.T it is 40% ,I had passed with only 56% in 12th with 33 marks in maths and today after completing my degree in civil engineering I have a good job in hand.it only depend on you that either you can study engineering or not,but when it comes to competition exam you can easily pass your State pre engineering exams, just buy some books which contain last years question papers and study accordingly. So best of luck buddy |

The basic eligibility criteria for a Diploma/ BE/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with high percentage of marks in Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and Selection is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams. To my knowledge now getting 80% is nothing . Now most of the students ambition is to become an engineer .So they are trying for that - to get admission for B.Tech and are also studying to fulfill their wish and scoring high marks that is above 90%. So How can you get admission for civil engineering with 58% marks. |
