It may not be possible to join the Merchant Navy with a BE Production using the Indian route. UK may offer an option for you. The degrees which are usually acceptable if following the UK route are Mechanical, Electrical, EEE and Automobile. As BE Production has a few elements of BE Mechanical, you may just have an outside chance. However, it is the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, UK which will take a call on this only after having gone through your individual semester / yearly marksheets.
