U can join Merchant Navy on the basis of X & XII. The initial training & other formalaties are almost of same for all the two, only difference is if he enters on the basis of X he will require 36 months of seatime, after XII he will have to require 18/24 months of seatime.

N then u should have 60% in pcm in aggregrt....ok....n 50 in english either on metric or +2 .....thn u apply for either DNS or BNS...1st 1 is 1 yr crs...n 2 nd 1 is 3 yrs crs wht i m doing now....... There r so mny collgs whch .........n institutes......but u must remember tht the institute should be approved by DG shipping ....i hope u join merchant navy so best of luck
