My sister and my nephew had put rs 30000/= in monthly post office scheme at malad post-office. this deposit was kept in the month of August 2004 or sept-2004. The certificate lost by me in train and make a police complain also .the certificat was lost in 2005. Now how can they get the duplicate certificate and also monthly due interest till date. Sir, can you let me know what procedure has to be followed by them to get duplicate certificate and due interest. awaiting your reply. thanks.

1	In case of original pass book being lost, or mutilated or damaged, a duplicate pass book may be issued on payment of a fee of rupees ten in case of issue of first duplicate pass book and rupees twenty in case of any subsequent issue, on a simple application on plain paper.In case the lost pass book is found after issue of a duplicate pass book, it shall not be treated as valid for any purpose and shall be surrendered immediately to the deposit office who shall destroy the same immediately in presence of the depositor.
