After retirement I along with my wife, opened PO- MIS account with Rs. 6 Lakhs in Jan.2001 and which got matured in Jan.2007. I got Rs 6.6o Lakhs-with 10% bonus of Rs.60,000. No TDS was deducted on redemption amount. Whether Bonus amount( Rs.60,000)is taxable or Income Tax free?
