A Possitive Mantoux Test means previous exposure to TB. If the pediatrician suggested treatment you have to follow his suggestions. All medications have side effects but the risks of not taking the medications may out weigh the side effects. So please follow the suggestions of your pediatrician. You could go for a second consultation if you are uncomfortable about putting the baby on long term medications.
