I hope by now you must have taken the dog to the Vet. If not, then check whether her wound has healed. Shave around the area, as dirty hair causes infection. Clean the area and spray the wound with soap water. Just clean the wound and leave it open so the wound can breathe. Small puncture wound will heal, but monitor your dog and if anything happens to him, take him to the vet.
Comfort it, let it in more than usual unless it has any sign of wanting to go out. Let it have plenty of exercise. Give it lots of food. It may want to rest a lot, so remember not to disturb it. As a warning in the future, keep an eye on your dog. I am also a dog owner. I take it to dog parks. I teach my do to defend itself ( really hard to do, most dogs are born with that effect). I know I should give it space once in a while, but I keep an eye on it. It's like you're a parent and it's your baby. You must always watch it but let it relax and play. |
