i have recently lost some certificates. when i applied for duplicate certificates they wanted a surety or a banker's guarantee. the bankers have given me a conditional gurantee which stipulates that the guarantee is valid upto 31/10/2010 and that the same is valid for the value of the certificates only. the post office at Secunderabsd is refusing to accept this gurantee. i understand that the banker's guarantee is always based on the value and also limited by time (which can be extended) requested by the party concerned. if this is the case, how can any one produce a surety or banker's guarantee?
