I have purchase national saving certificates on 9th Jan'03 from Delhi and that have matured on 9th Jan'09. Now I am kolkata and unable to go to delhi. About one year passed beyond maturity date. HOW THE NSCs can be encashed.

My 3 NSCs purchased in north indian centres when I was serving there have been destroyed.Issue Post Office has sought application,affidavit required to obtain duplicate of the lost NSC collecting required formats from the local PO.LOcal PO is not in a position to provide required formats.Pl.provide me proceedure and required formats to obtain duplicate of thelost NSCs.Also suggest that POs should be able to guide and provide the formats.
