Regarding post office recurring deposits. On completion of 5 year an RD can be continued for a further period of 5 years. I want to know the rate of interest payable on such continuation. Please give detailed calculation on maturity (after 10 years) the maturity value payable to depositor on Rs.10 RD.

My sister has taken an education loan in Allahabad bank for studying Engineering in Mangalore. Due to food problem in College hostel. She decided to shift to Paying guest accomodation. Now the bank is saying that they cannot accomodate the paying guest cost, but they can pay only if she stays in the college hostel
