Studying in Australia is a dream that many of you have and will have. To help you with the application process of the Australian visa, we suggest you read about how to apply  for the visa.

  7. Do you think this course is going to benefit you? If so, how?

  8. Are you planning to return back to your home country after completing your study?

  9. Are you planning to continue studying in Australia?

    10.   Could you (please) show me the transcripts of your prior education?

    11.   What subjects did you study in your undergraduate/postgraduate?

    12.   Why did you wish to change your field? (in case you are planning to pursue a different field in Australia)

    13.   Ok, but you could have done the same course in your native country, isn’t it?

    14.   How many universities did you apply at?

    15.   From which universities did you receive acceptances, apart from X?

    16.   What do you know about this university (X)?

    17.   Did you receive any scholarships?

    18.  Why did you choose X university, why not Y, why not Z...?

    19.   Have you planned your stay? Will you be staying off-campus? (If your answer is yes, then...wham!)

  2. What was the stream/specialisation during your UG/PG?

  3. What was your percentage/grade during your UG/PG?

Exam-related questions

  1. Show me your IELTS/TOEFL score please!

  2. Why is your score so low?

  3. Why is score so high?

Family related questions

  1. Tell me something about your family!

  2. Who is going to sponsor your studies?

  3. Why is he sponsoring you? (if not father)

  4. What’s the annual salary of your father?

  5. Are you the first from your family to study abroad?

  6. Do you have any outstanding loans?

  7. What are the primary sources of income of your sponsor?

  8. Could you show me some proof of your sponsor’s annual salary?

Others

  1. Have you been abroad earlier?

  2. Where have you been?

  3. Are you planning to visit your family during holidays?

  4. What will you do during the off-semesters?

  5. What are your future plans?

  6. What will you do when you return to your home country?

  7. How job-oriented is your field of study? (course that you are going to pursue in Australia)

  8. Are you planning to do some part-time jobs while studying in Australia?

  9. Have you been to Australia before?

  10. Provide an honest answer why you should be granted the student visa?

  11. What will you do if your student visa is rejected?
