Cheeyappara Waterfalls | Cascade of Bliss!

Cheeyappara falls is situated on the Kochi- Madurai highway between Neriamangalam and Adimali in Idukki dist, Kerala. The falls, which flow down in seven steps, is very beautiful especially in the monsoons when the water is brimming.

It’s a great view from the bottom of the falls to the top and worth the break while traveling to Munnar, 42 km further. If you have time, you can trek to the top of the falls.

It’s a nice locale, on the way to Munnar.

A lot of tourists come here to enjoy the beautiful view and take photos.

Many small shops have come up near the falls.

These shops with fresh fruits, vegetables, snacks, drinks and toys, cater to the needs of tourists.

Opposite to Cheeyappara is the Valara, a chain of waterfalls surrounded by thick green forests. Monsoon is the best time to visit the place. In summer, there is very little water and the fall looses its charm, hence June-July to January is the perfect time to stop at this place
