Uttar Pradesh is the fifth largest state in India in terms of land, its total land area is extend in 2,43,286 square kilometers. Uttar Pradesh is the most populated state over the 200 million population in his own state. Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh is divided into 75 Districts and its official language is Hindi.

UP is well known for his historical heritage and its extensive culture. It has its holy cities like Varanasi (the city of goddess Shiva), Ayodhya (the city of goddess RAM), Mathura (the birth place of goddess Krishna) and many other well known holy places are located in Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh is also famous for Politics. This state has its own one of the seven wonders in the world i.e. Taj Mahel.

This state has a long tradition of classical dance and music such as kathak and thumri. It is also well known for its folk music & dance and it is specially it is known for Bhojpuri music and dance. Many of the wildlife centuries and national parks are found in this state including Dudha National Park and Chambal Wildlife centaury.

2. Cuisine: Uttar Pradesh offers a diverse and delectable culinary experience. The cuisine is influenced by Mughal, Awadhi, and traditional North Indian flavors. Popular dishes include kebabs, biryanis, kormas, and the famous Lucknowi cuisine known for its richness and delicate flavors.

3. Festivals: Uttar Pradesh celebrates a wide range of festivals with great enthusiasm. Diwali, Holi, Eid, Raksha Bandhan, and Navratri are some of the major festivals celebrated by people of various religious backgrounds. The Kumbh Mela, one of the world's largest religious gatherings, takes place in Allahabad (Prayagraj) once every 12 years and attracts millions of pilgrims.

4. Music and Dance: Uttar Pradesh has a vibrant musical and dance tradition. Classical music forms like Hindustani classical music, thumri, and dadra have deep roots in the region. Kathak, a classical dance form, originated in Uttar Pradesh and is renowned for its intricate footwork and expressive storytelling.

Places like Varanasi, Agra, and Lucknow are famous for their exquisite silk weaving, embroidery work, zardozi (metallic embroidery), pottery, and woodwork. These crafts reflect the cultural heritage and skills passed down through generations.

6. Religious Sites: Uttar Pradesh is home to several important religious sites. Varanasi, considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, is a major pilgrimage destination for Hindus. Other significant religious sites include Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, Mathura, associated with Lord Krishna, and Allahabad (Prayagraj), known for the confluence of three holy rivers.
