Since you are more with the science background and you are interested in actuarial science, it is better for you to focus more on that area rather than shifting from a science to commerce background. If you need to shift you need to get your basics updated on commerce. You might have to go for in person training or online training on accounting and commerce which will become an important part of MBA studies.

If you have a very keen interest in accounts and commerce, then you can opt for MBA otherwise you can go in with your interest in science itself as career opportunities are spread open for both the streams and it is your talent and presence to crack it over.
