What I assume from your mail is that, by this time, you would probably became a counsellor for many: for your friends, colleagues, relatives, etc. . A great talent you may have.

My suggestions are two fold and based on two assumptions: (1) you are still like IT job, programming, design, development, etc.. ; (2) you are not that much satisfied with IT- a kind of saturation.

For case (1) :

I would like to set a few career options for you. If you still love to work in IT.
Gaming- a good game developer needs to know the sell point which closely related to the mid setting of the player. If you are good at relating data pattern into emotional status from a player, (well ,that is the sell point ) you can always develop games that create addictions.
Social networking and targeted advertising- Always need good psycho-analysis ability to read the users emotions (say, for example, from cookies) to understand what people need, why they need and then optimize the contents or promote products . I also would like to point out
Artificial intelligence- a great extent of researches are going on in it to understand how to make better machines that can interact with emotional feelings of human. Companies need not only programmers for above said careers, but good leaders who knows the sell point which closely related to human psychology.

For case (2):

Okey, you need a change: by next few years you will be having a degree in psychology. Then what? Where you find yourself fit for a job? Oh yeah, a plenty of options out there.
Clinical psychology- all are stressed ; you get decent perks :) .
Counselling- for institutions, NGO, rehabilitation centres.
HR and personal training- well, all they need to have the ability to make good from bad and ugly.

Now lets set road map for both cases. For case (1) based on your skills and interest selects a field, acquire knowledge and promote yourself for the openings. Mean times, you will be having a post-graduation in psychology. ( ironically, you really don't need a degree to do that, but that bias the employer ). For case (2) follow your courses along with you IT job.

This note will not be complete without telling you about one setbacks you may face in future :- your age. You will be in a border line for switching your job. However, efficiency and ability can always circumvent age and your transition will be smoother.
