Lipoproteins are structures found in the body. Lipoproteins can be HDL or High Density Lipoproteins and LDL or Low Density Lipoproteins. HDL is considered to be Good Cholestrol and they protect heart. LDL or Low Cholestrol is responsible for plaque built up in the blood vessels. These can be meaured from blood tests. Lipid profile will give a cholestrol HDL and LDL numbers.
