Have a orchid that has developed a shoot that comes out from the main stem. The old stem is fused to under the leaves. Do I have some kind of disease or is this a freak of nature? Can I cut the leaf and stem? thanks Marie

1	IN ORCHID U HV TO MAKE PRUNING ON PROPER TIME, IT IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO FUNGAL DISEASE. SO CUT OLD LEAVES ON PROPER TIME.
