| Q | i have a Great Dane and he is 4 yrs old.my question is that he has so many black kind of ticks in his whole body...how can one get rid of them.we have contacted our vet and he has put tick injection also but so far no result.plz tell us the solution or Kindly Advise me the Best Medicine to get Rid frm Ticks as he is gettin so Weak. | |

| 1 | Take time out to thoroughly brush/comb your dog's body using brushes or scratching gloves (they have blunt rubber spikes on them)...dusting powders are also available... frequent bathing of dogs r not really advisable..u shud do it only probably once or twice a month.. |

You should also test him for diseases that ticks carry, as there are a lot, such as Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis. so you can detect if there are diseases present and start treating them quick before things get too messy. |

| 4 | Try Getting Your Dog Further away from grass as fleas breed and grow in long grass. Also try to keep your dog away from other flea infested dogs as fleas can jump from one dog to another at an amazing strength. By bathing your dog regularly and with flea medication shampoo will also help greatly. |
