Atri

Atri, a small village located in the amidst greenery, about 42km from Bhubaneswar, is famed for its hot sulphur water spring. The temperature of the spring water is 55o Celsius which always remains steady, is believed to have medicinal properties for curing skin diseases. The bathing complex, located close to the spring provides steam bathing facilities for the tourists. For this, water of the hot spring is collected in a reservoir with a depth of around 15 feet and a circumference of 10 feet and it is provided to the tourist with outlets to prevent stagnation.

The other attraction of Atri is the temple of Lord Hatakeswar. On Makar Sankranti (mid January), a large number of devotees visit this temple to pay homage to the Lord and attend the annual fair Makar Jatra.
