St. Joseph's Cathedral, located at Lal Bahadur Sastri Road, is a major
spiritual center of the Jacobite Syrian Christians. Belongs to Kottayam
diocese, the church was built in the year 1981 and is the the only church
of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Christians founded in the name of St
Joseph. The annual feast of St. Joseph and the foundation day of the church
is celebrated on January 26 with much pomp and merriment.
