Brought
up in a traditional Maharashtrian family, Madhu Sapre was one
of the best kept bodies the fashion industry ever saw. A keen
sports person, she had hoped to make a career in Athletics but found
the world of glamour and modelling, utterly fascinating. She
was crowned Miss India and Miss universe Runner up in
1993. Madhu had come closer to winning the elusive Miss
Universe crown. She sailed through the
swimsuit round of the Miss Universe contest with a score of 9.9
out of 10 and was adjudged the number one in her Sangeeta
Chopra evening gown. She has a reputation of being a person who
cares a damn about the world. Her choice of dressing and her
choice of work has often made her a much controversial issue
for the media. She got married to Gian Maria Emendotori, an Italian
businessman. She has compared many shows on TV, now she is concentrating in acting also.
