One of the most talented actress of Kannada films Anu Prabhakar, daughter of M.V. Prabhakar and dubbing artiste Gayathri Prabhakar, first appeared as a child artist in the film 'Chapala Chennigaraya'. A born artiste, she has given several hit films including 'Heudaya Hrudaya' (1999) her debut as a heroine. This charming beauty has won many a hearts with her suave smile and brilliant acting. She has also tried her luck in two Tamil movies. Bangalore's Kolada Math honoured Anu with the title 'Abhinaya Saraswathi' for her outstanding performance in various films and she has also won other awards such as 'Kannada State Government best actress award 2000-01', 'Cinema Express best actress' etc. Anu is married to Krishna Kumar, son of veteran South Indian actress Jayanthi.
