Sister of Shilpa Shetty, this doe- eyed beauty have not bagged much success in Bollywood, but her item number 'Sharara Sharara' in 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai' (2002) became a runaway hit. A Commerce graduate and diploma holder in Fashion Designing, Shamita made her entry into southern films with the Tamil flick 'Rajjiyam' (2002). She was appreciated for her performance in the Hindi films 'Wajahh: A Reason to Kill' (2004), 'Bewafaa' (2005) and 'Zeher'(2005).
