Sonu Nigam, the Golden boy of Indipop and one of the top singers of India has captured the hearts of millions with his melodious voice, charming looks and great sense of humour. His boyish appearance coupled with the boy-next-door appeal are what makes Sonu Nigam different from the others of the celebrity posse. Sonu made his debut public performance when he was only three years old. The first song that he recorded was for the film 'Aaja Meri Jaan'. It was Gulshan Kumar, who noticed the hidden talent in Sonu Nigam and the first song that catapulted him to fame was 'Achha sila diya tune mere pyaar ka' from the film 'Bewafa Sanam'. Luckily he got to host a grand musical show, 'Sa Re Ga Ma' for the satellite channel, Zee TV which made him an icon in the small screen. He anchored the show for five years but gave it up to seriously pursue his film career. He is among the few singers who have made it big both in film music as well as in the Indipop front. "Deewana", "Jaan", "Yaad" etc are some of his hit albums. He got the Zee Cine award for the song 'Sandesay Aate Hain'. He split with his wife Madhurima. He has also tried his hands in modeling and acting. It is his personal effort, hard work and sincerity  that got him to where he is, at present.
