Bollywood's latest romantic heart-throb and the handsome brother of actress Amisha Patel, Ashmit has followed his sister's footsteps through the film 'Intehaa' (2003). He has also assisted in the making of 'Awara Pagal Deewana' (2002). Though his debut  venture sank without a trace, the huge success of his second film 'Murder' (2004) which featured him in a negative role opened the doors of Bollywood for Ashmit Patel. His later films such as 'Nazar' (2005), 'Silsilay' (2005), 'Fight Club' (2006) etc didn't do well at the box office, but he has managed to impress in his role in 'Banaras: a Mystic Love Story' (2006). This handsome hunk makes women swoon over his looks.
