Thiruvananthapuram, August 04 : Keralite businessman's firm
has developed a new software which can, with the click of a mouse, handle
all activities in an educational institution, including admissions and fees,
and is being sought by several universities in India and abroad.
Aniyan Kutty's Dimensions Cyber Technologies, based at the
Technopark here, developed the software - Campus (Java version) - after nearly
three years of efforts.
The company says it has new business prospects in the
Middle East, Australia and several universities in the country.
The Mumbai-based Institute of Technology Management (ITM),
the Indian Institute of Management at Kozhikode and Punjab University are
using this new software.
"The biggest advantage in using our software is that
it brings in together the entire campus management beginning from admissions,
fees, muster roll, attendances, library, mark list, canteen, hostel and even
alumni," said Ashish Srivastava, technical head of Dimensions Cyber Technologies.
The firm is part of the $100 million Trinity Group headquartered
in Dubai promoted by Kutty.
"Our latest product is an extension of our earlier venture
done in Visual Basic which is currently used in 20 educational institutions
in Kerala. We are now targeting universities because all educational institutions
attached to the university can be linked. The ITM in Mumbai has six campuses
across the country and they are enjoying the benefits of our programme by
managing their affairs sitting in one place," said Damodaran Nampoothiri,
vice-president finance of Dimensions.
Dimensions has offices across the US, Asia, Asia Pacific,
Europe and the Middle East.
"We have so far invested Rs.60 million ($1.3 million)
here and we are now expecting to touch a turnover of Rs.800 million in the
next two years because of the huge list of prospective clients who have contacted
us from across the globe," said Srivastava. (IANS)
