Gurdwara Gau Ghat is situated in Ludiana on the bank of the stream
Budha Nala , 1 km. from Samrala Chowk. This place was visited by Guru Nanak
Dev Ji during his travels in the early 16th century. There is a fort
near to this Gurudwara where the Nawab of Lodhi Jalal-ud-din believed
to be lived who has great devotion to Guruji and so requested Guruji
to save the town from erosion by the Sutlej River . Guruji advised him
to leave it to the will of God and so from that time , river Satluj moved
away from the city. A main hall still stands at the spot to mark
the incident. The main festivals celebrated in this Gurdwara are Prakash
Divas of all Gurus and Baisakhi with fervor.
