This is the place where the Parsi community
(following the Zoroastrian religion) dispose their dead. Bearers carry
the corpse to the top of one of the towering cylindrical bastions, where
it is laid out and left to be devoured by waiting vultures and decomposed
by the elements. This place is strictly off limits to all. A model
of the Towers of Silence is placed in the Prince of Wales Museum.
