Set up in the year 1984, Silent Valley National Park spread over an area of 89.52 km is located in the north east corner of Palakkad district. Located around 40kms from Mannarkkad in the Palakkad district, it is one of the most magnificent gifts of nature to mankind. The dense forest in the valley called 'Sairandhri Vanam' and the river Kunthi give a mythological dimension to the National Park.
