Q I'm a twelfth passed out student. I just wanted to know whether i can pursue genetic engineering having PCB as the combo courses undertaken in +2. If not then please suggest me as to what other options are open for me while keeping bio sci stream, while taking into concern the future prospects or scope of any field.

With a background in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th standard, one can pursue studies in Genetic Engineering. Institutes generally offer engineering courses in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics etc with specialized courses in genetic engineering. It has relevance Botoy related fields as well.

With bioscience stream in 12th standard, one can pursue studies in microbiology, medical science (all branches of it), nursing etc. All of these streams have their own advantages and interdependencies. It may be helpful going through some of the answers to the previous queries in this session.
