If an employee after working 6 years in a multinational company and having a EPF account in India doe not withdraw amount from the EPF account after resigning from the Company and leaves the country for US to join there a job in a US Company, what will happen to his EPF Account in India? Will it continue to exist and earn interest over the accumulated amount or will it cease to attract interest ? What should be the line of action in such matters because withdrawing money from EPF account will be taxable in income tax. |

During Sep 2004 my wife deposited some money in Post Office MIS with monthly Interest @ 8% and 10% bonus on maturity. This deposit was for 6 years.
Every now & then the govt changes rate of interest & maturity period as well as the rate of bonus.
What will be the status of our deposit at the time of maturity in Sept 2010 ? |
