Is Post graduation in medical biochemistry better than biochemistry?what are the advantages of the subject?

I have done my graduation with chemistry, microbiology and biochemistry.I wish to pursue post graduation in biochemistry or forensic sciences. My question is Are there any govt. colleges in maharastra for the same and what is the procedure of admission over there? Regards Roma
