I am a B.Tech computer science graduate do i have the eligibility to write indian forest service examination?

I am keen to join a Diploma/ Degree course in the field of Forestry, but i have a commerce background, if you can assist me to giude me through the same, it would be a great help. I would like to enroll for a course in Forestry to help me understand & get myself well equipped with the knowledge required to head towards my personal goal to contribute towards betterment & preservation of forests in India & Globally.

I'm having notes from brilliant tutorials for the optional subjects forestry and geology for IFS exam. Is that enough for this both subjects or need to get more books on this ? plz do repy sir thanking you,

I am currently trying out career options for my son. He has exceptional knowledge(of course by reading and web searching) about wild life, has good command over english but being born & brought up in city he is not at all comfortable with wild life living. He finds it 'messy' and also has heart of rabit.Yet he spends hours together in reading about wild life.Any career where he can enjoy his love of wild life yet is not required going to fieldi.e. jungle
